OUTRAGEOUS: Huckabee Sanders Thinks Trump’s ‘Son Of A B*tch’ Comment Was ‘Absolutely Appropriate’

I have some pity for Sarah Huckabee Sanders (albeit not much, however). She spends each day cleaning up after her pea-brained boss, and I picture her resolutely working in the elephant pen after the huge mammals have spent the night in there.

No Touchdown For Sarah Huckabee Sanders

Specifically, her dumbfuck boss, President Donald Trump singled out Colin Kaepernick for special attention, calling him a “son of a bitch” at a rally last weekend because he has the temerity to remain on one knee while the national anthem is played.

So Huckabee Sanders is really doing clean up Monday because Trump is having another meltdown all over Twitter and has created an enormous mess. He spent the entire weekend bitching about NFL players who are exercising their First Amendment rights to protest, Raw Story notes.

During the press briefing, Huckabee Sanders tried to suggest that Trump attacked the players because he was standing up for the country, but any American with the attention of a chihuahua or higher knows this is pure, unadulterated grade AAA BS.

When a reporter asked her about Trump calling Kaepernick a SOB, she said Trump’s remarks were:

“Absolutely appropriate.”

Um…Sarah? In what world is this appropriate? What if a white football player did this? Would that be appropriate? I’m just wondering what goes on in that feverish little brain of yours?

But she says:

“This isn’t about the president being against anyone, this is about the president and millions of Americans being for something. I think it’s always appropriate of the president of the United States to defend our flag, to defend our national anthem and to defend the men and women who died to defend them.”

Trump may “defend the flag” but he’s done a lousy job of protecting those who died for the aforementioned flag. If he wants to protect the people who died for our freedoms, then how about not screwing them over with a crappy healthcare bill?

Hey, Trumpie, there’s a start for you.

And NBC’s Peter Alexander didn’t miss the chance to remind him that he’s been tweeting more about the NFL than the tragedy that’s unfolding in Puerto Rico in the aftermath of Hurricane Maria, Mediaite reports. He also asked Huckabee Sanders what message Trump is sending when he complains about football players exercising their rights to free speech.

Huckabee Sanders tried to say that the “focus and message” presented by the kneeling NFL players had changed, that perhaps they were disrespecting the flag, Slate reports.

Then she suggested that if the players are “upset about police brutality,” then they should “protest the officers on the field that are protecting them instead of the American flag.”

Katy Waldman, writing for Slate, then wondered:

“Was she actually suggesting that athletes confront members of law enforcement in the pre-game ceremonies?”

Huckabee Sanders response?

“No, no … I was pointing out the hypocrisy of the fact that if the goal is and the message is of police brutality, which they’ve stated, then that doesn’t seem very appropriate to protest the American flag.”

Do you see what she’s done here? Surely she must know by now that the players are protesting police brutality. Not the flag.

But she’s trying to make it seem like Kaepernick and his colleagues are the bad guys. If she really thinks they are protesting the flag, then she’s an idiot.

Like her boss.
