Fox News Host Unloads On Trump: ‘It’s Not the Fake News Media That’s Your Problem, It’s You’

When he’s caught in a lie, called out for his nonsense, or backed into a corner, President Donald Trump never fails to blame the media. That was proven again this week after the president criticized the Mayor of London and also managed to make the deaths of seven people into a vehicle for him to push his failed travel ban.

Tuesday morning, Trump sent out this tweet:

Actually, the people who are all but begging Trump to stay away from Twitter are his senior advisers and lawyers, all of whom know his every word can be used against him as the Russia investigation moves into the next phase under Special Counsel Robert Mueller.

It’s gotten so bad that even Fox News is trying to reach the president. Today it was Neil Cavuto, who said on his show:

“Mr. President, it’s not the fake news media that’s your problem, it’s you. It’s not just your tweeting, it’s your scapegoating, it’s your refusal to see that sometimes you’re the one who’s feeding your own beast.”

But Cavuto was far from finished, reminding Trump that he’s hurting members of his own administration with his Twitter obsession:

“They didn’t tweet disparaging comments about a London mayor in the middle of a murder spree. You did. They didn’t create that needless distraction. You did. They didn’t get you off your very valid and very promising agenda. You did. They didn’t turn on a travel ban that you signed. You did.”

How true! Donald Trump has always been his own worst enemy. But in the process he manages to destroy those around him who have pledged their loyalty.

The Fox host concluded with this:

“Just because your own critics never thought that you’d make it to the White House does not mean you shouldn’t listen to those who want you to thrive and succeed in the White House. They’re not the problem, Mr. President. Like I said, these days you are.”

Trump will tweet and talk himself right into impeachment. Wonder who’ll listen to him when the walls come crashing down.
