Dumb Donnie’s Commencement Address Was Lifted From The Movie ‘Legally Blonde’

You probably recall the Melania Trump gave a speech at the 2016 Republican National Convention which we later learned was stolen, in part, from one that First Lady Michelle Obama had given years before at the Democratic convention.

And now we have Melania’s perennially ignorant husband, the pretend POTUS, stealing parts of a speech, but this time it’s not from another political figure; it’s from a movie.

Jimmy Fallon, host of The Tonight Show, said Monday evening that Trump’s commencement address to the graduates at Liberty University sounded oddly familiar:

“I watched Trump’s commencement speech, and it sounded kind of familiar.”

Take a look for yourself:

Here’s Trump at Liberty U:

“I know that each of you will do what is right, not what is the easy way, and that you will be true to yourself, and your country, and your beliefs. I said I was going to do it, and…I did it.”

And here’s Elle in the movie Legally Blonde:

“You must always have faith in people, and most importantly you must always have faith in yourself. Congratulations class of 2004. We did it!”

Little too close for comfort, don’t you think?

Hey, we know Donald Trump is intellectually and physically lazy, so it should come as no surprise if he did indeed take the easy way out and just copy the basic words of a speech from a movie he saw and liked. Yet we decided it would be a good idea to give this guy codes to our nuclear weapons.

What could possibly go wrong?
