Kal Penn is a former White House adviser to President Barack Obama, but he’s also a famous actor best known for his role as the pot-loving Kumar in the “Harold and Kumar” movie franchise.
Earlier this week, Fox News’ Tucker Carlson took some shots at the National Endowment for the Arts, as President Donald Trump seeks to cut funding to the program.
“The National Endowment for the Arts, is, in effect, welfare for rich, liberal elites,” Tucker said on Fox News.

Here are some more thoughts from this ignorant ass bow tie wearing caveman. You’ll love the part at around the 5:00 mark where Carlson claims he’d never take money from the government because that would make him a propaganda puppet.
In response to Carlson’s brain blistering ignorance, Penn shot back with this tweet.
“I’d love to bring you to ‘elite’ Des Moines, where I teach arts to underserved kids through a Turn around Arts program launched with the National Endowment of the Arts.”

Don’t expect a mental lightweight like Carlson to offer a good counter argument other than typical Fox News style strawman variety. Unfortunately, this is a time when many Americans will need to dig down deep and survive the pestilence in D.C. known as the Trump administration. Thankfully, the arts that enrich our lives will survive and hopefully thrive stronger than ever after we elect a progressive in 2020.
