New Poll Shows ‘Fake News’ Is Still More Trusted Than Don The Con

Whenever something bad leaks out about our illegitimate and incompetent president, Donald Trump, one of his favorite things to start saying is that it’s all “fake news.” It’s become his go-to line when he needs an out.

But a new poll from Quinnipiac shows that while Trump may think he’s more loved than the media, the majority of Americans don’t see it that way.

Consider: Trump’s current approval rating stands at 38 percent, which is dismal for a president in the first month of his term in office.

Now let’s take a look at a question from the poll:

“Who do you trust more to tell you the truth about important issues: President Trump or the news media?”

The results are likely to make Trump lose his appetite: 37 percent trust Trump over the media, while 57 percent trust the news media to tell them the truth. A 20-point spread.

Here’s another question Quinnipiac asked of respondents:

“Do you approve or disapprove of the way President Trump talks about the media?”

35 percent approve of the way Trump talks about the media, while 61 percent disapprove.

There’s little doubt that Trump is under the impression that he will always be more popular than those who give people the news. He relies on this being true.

But it isn’t true; not even marginally so. I guess that makes Trump the shallow, thin-skinned, whiny baby asshole shitheel we always knew he was.

Suck on that one, Donnie.
