If, like me, you were hoping Dick Cheney–aka Dr. Evil–had decided to stay quiet and tend to his hobbies (killing helpless animals and humans who disagree with him), then I have some very bad news: He’s back.
Cheney was asked by CNN’s Barbara Starr if Donald Trump’s often unhinged style on Twitter might be dangerous, the former Vice President and full-time war profiteer replied:
“I do think you need to be careful. But he’ll learn as he goes along. I think he is putting some brains and good people with him. I am a big fan of Mike Pence.
“I think one of the reasons people get so concerned about the tweets is it’s sort of a way around the press. It’s modern era, modern technology. He’s at the point where we don’t need you guys anymore.”
It’s every Republican’s wet dream: To eliminate the press so they can implement their Fourth Reich plans without any questions being asked.
But I have news for Cheney, Trump, Pence, and any other politician who thinks they can go around the media: We know how to use social media, too, and you don’t want to piss us off.
