This conservative women’s group, One Million Moms, loves to bitch about seeing gay couples in magazine ads.
Now, they are having their latest tizzy fit over the children’s magazine, Highlights, for including same-sex parents. This came up after a Facebook post from a mom who wanted to see more LGBT families in the magazine.
The magazine replied saying “parents should know” about when to talk about same-sex families with their children. Highlights received some backlash on Twitter.
The hashtag #HighlightLGBTFamilies is trending on Twitter. After all of the Twitter chatter, Highlight apologized on its website, and they included a family with two mothers in one of the issues.
Hey @Highlights, don't be scared of inclusion. If children's museums can do it, so can you: https://t.co/WstLTkFYCv #HighlightLGBTFamilies

This looks like a position change, not a "clarification." Sounds like the feedback may have made a real difference? #HighlightLGBTFamilies https://t.co/49mnkP1zZD

The One Million Moms group is calling on Highlights to “not cave in” and to reverse their decision to include an LGBT family in their magazine.
The group’s website reads:
“This would be a deal breaker for conservative families. Parents are left with no other choice than to cancel their subscription.”
Million Morons don't know when to quit.

One Million Moms conducts these ridiculous protests all the time. In 2012, they famously called for a boycott of JCPenney because they included Ellen Degeneres in an ad.
More recently, they bitched about Zales including a pride collection for the holidays. They call it “normalizing sin.” Of course, they are boycotting Target.
