Former Alabama Chief Justice and Senate candidate Roy Moore has served up another heaping helping of theocratic bullshit.
He said that the First Amendment protections only apply to Christians.
“They didn’t bring the Koran over on the pilgrim ship, the Mayflower.”
“…Everybody, to include the U.S. Supreme Court, has been deceived as to one little word in the First Amendment called ‘religion.’ They can’t define it,” the state’s chief justice said. “They can’t define it the way Mason, Madison and even the United State Supreme Court defined it, ‘the duties we owe to the creator and the manner of discharging it.’ They don’t want to do that because that acknowledges a creator god.”
“Buddha didn’t create us. Mohammed didn’t create us. It’s the god of the Holy Scriptures.”
Roy Moore is the Republican candidate for Jeff Sessions’ Senate seat in Alabama. He has also waved his tiny gun around at a campaign rally. He referred to Native Americans and Asians as “reds” and “yellows.”
This bigoted theocrat was suspended from being Chief Justice, how should we expect him to be able to make laws for us? As an Alabamian, I don’t trust this crazy theocrat to flip a burger let alone write a bill. He is scary, and he has no business anywhere near Washington, D.C.
