Jeremy Thacker is one of the millions who love Donald Trump and even post tributes to him on Facebook. And now he’s also accused of murder for running over and killing a homeless man in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Thacker was arrested this week for killing Shawn Birdo, who was sleeping under an overpass at the time. Two other people were also injured when Thacker attacked them with his truck.
Police have charged Thacker with one count of first-degree murder and five related counts of assault with a deadly weapon.
Authorities allege that Thacker deliberately targeted homeless people during his rampage, a look at the postings on his Facebook page clearly indicate that he harbored anger and resentment against the homeless. In one of those postings, Thacker wrote on a photo of a man asking for food:
“Get a job btch!! Lmfao.”
Larry Wagoner, who says he’s a lifelong friend of Thacker, said of the accused murderer:
“This is a guy that would give his shirt off his back to a homeless person. If they asked for a dollar, he would give away his last dollar or his last cigarette.
I know he’s been having some hard times here lately, but never anything like this. He’s been down on himself here lately. He gets to a place in his head where life is great and then a week later, he hates his life. It hasn’t always been like this.”
This isn’t Thacker’s first run-in with the law. In 2008, he pulled a knife on a convenience store clerk. Thacker told police he was high on alcohol and meth at the time. For that offense, he was given a two-year suspended sentence.
Other postings on Facebook make it obvious that Thacker was also an ardent Trump acolyte:
Thacker, however, won’t be allowed to use Facebook or the internet for a very long time. They don’t allow that kind of thing in prison.
Have fun, Jeremy! Very few people are likely to miss you.
