WATCH: Racist Republican Mayoral Candidate Screams ‘Go Back To Africa’ At His Black Opponent

In Florida, the campaign for St. Petersburg’s mayoral seat took an unexpected bizarre and ugly turn after candidate Paul Congemi (a Republican) screamed “go back to Africa,” at African-American candidate Jesse Nevel and his supporters, during a heated debate on Tuesday.

Congemi’s outburst came after Nevel called him a “non-factor” in the election. That’s when the 60-year-old conservative candidate completely lost his shit.

“My advice to you, if you don’t like it here in America, planes leave every hour from Tampa airport. Go back to Africa. Go back to Africa. Go back!”Congemi said.

Nevel’s group, the Uhuru movement, features slavery reparations as its central platform.

Just before his outburst Congemi addressed the issue of slavery reparations by telling members of the Uhuru community in the crowd that they had already received reparations from America in the form of former President Barrack Obama.

Reparations represent actions taken by a government to redress flagrant and systematic violations of human rights imposed on a minority group by greater society. In 1990 the U.S. paid the family members of Americans held prisoner on American soil in Japanese internment camps a total of $1.2 Billion or $20,000 to each household.

In 1990 the U.S. paid the relatives of Americans held prisoner on American soil in Japanese internment camps a total of $1.2 Billion or $20,000 to each family.

In 1986 the U.S. paid $32 Million to the Ottawa Tribe of Michigan. And there are numerous similar examples throughout recent history of reparations being paid in the form of money or land to other Native American Tribes.

But back to the racist asshole.

Congemi is currently facing charges dating back to January, for felony abuse after his 87-year-old mother had to be admitted to an intensive care unit to treat bed sores. Although Congemi wasn’t as talkative about that subject matter, he did “courageously” promise the citizens of St. Petersburg that his felony charges would not prevent him from running for mayor.

On top of being accused of abusing his mother, Congemi also landed in hot water with law enforcement after police officers responded to a call alleging that the candidate was swearing at customers in a local KFC restaurant. According to reports, Congemi threatened officers that if they touched him, he would fire them once he was elected mayor.

Congemi later “clarified” his threat at a political forum, stating that dismissing the officers would not have been an abuse of power but rather an act of “justice.”

Wow. Just imagine where America would be without “great Americans” like Congemi in positions of authority?
