To work at Fox News as an on-air personality, you don’t need a brain. As we’ve seen countless times–with Bill O’Reilly, Glenn Beck, and Sean Hannity–those with intelligence have no place at Fox.
But now it’s been confirmed that to work at Fox you must also pass a test proving that you have no heart or soul, either.
During a discussion of the Senate version of the American Health Care Act (aka Trumpcare) on the Thursday edition of The Five, the lone liberal (and human) on the panel, Juan Williams, argued that the Senate bill would “drive up premiums and costs for working people who come to the hospital.” And Williams also noted:
“What about the elderly? The people in nursing homes, the people we all have sympathy for?”
Conservative co-host and resident dickhead Greg Gutfeld snidely remarked:
“We’re going to let them die, according to the liberals!”
Kimberly Guilfoyle couldn’t resist joining the fray and making a joke of the entire matter as she said under her breath:
“You forgot the children dying of cancer.”
When Williams tried to counter, Gutfeld and Guilfoyle both began moaning and grinning like hyenas when he told the two ice cold bastards:
“But I will say this. If you are putting a cap on Medicaid, and people are in nursing homes — that’s how the nursing home gets paid — you are pushing people out.”
What Juan Williams neglected to factor into his debate points is that you cannot hope to make an emotional appeal to assholes who only think about the bottom line and how they can manage to reduce their own tax bill. If grandma or little Cathy have to die as a result, well that’s just the way the free market intended it to be, dammit!
There’s a quote from the Dalai Lama that right-wingers across this country, including President Trump, would be wise to study and implement in their own pathetic, self-centered lives before they leave this world for what waits in eternity:
“Love and compassion are necessities, not luxuries. Without them humanity cannot survive.”
