Comey Declines Senate Invite To Testify, And His Reason Has Trump Shaking In His Shoes

Late last week, just days after he had been fired by the Toddler-in-Chief, former FBI Director James Comey received a message from the Senate Intelligence Committee: Please come testify on Tuesday, May 16.

As it turns out, Comey has declined the invitation to testify, but it has nothing to do with his being reticent to speak about what he knows. Instead, as the New York Times first reported:

“Mr. Comey made no comment, but later in the day he declined a request to testify before the Senate Intelligence Committee on Tuesday. According to a close associate of Mr. Comey, he is willing to testify, but wants it to be in public.”

Did you hear that, Donald? The man you fired and called all sorts of names cannot wait to tell his side of the story, but he wants it to be under oath and in public so the entire world can see it. Then you can sit and watch as you are systematically destroyed by this decent man who has devoted his life to public service.

As with all things, Trump ran his mouth off too soon and said too much in a failed attempt to justify his letting Comey go in the middle of the FBI’s multiple investigations into Russian interference in the 2016 election and the possible collusion of Trump and his associates, including but not limited to:

  • Vice President Mike Pence
  • Attorney General Jeff Sessions
  • Trump’s son-in-law and personal adviser, Jared Kushner.

Something tells me Trump’s fat ass must have seized up when he heard that Comey would only tell what he knows if he can do so in public. But since it appears from photos that the fake president wears protective undergarments (Does he?!¬†Well, that Depends.), at least he’ll save money on dry cleaning.
