In 2014, during an interview with American sports writer James Dodson, Eric Trump, son of President Donald Trump, allegedly admitted openly that most of the money they needed to fund the families golf courses came from Russia.

On Friday, during an interview with Boston’s WBUR, the author recalled meeting Donald Trump in 2014 and being extended an invitation to play golf at the Trump National Golf Club Charlotte.

The sports writer recounted how he asked Trump about how he was financing his expensive golf courses, to which the future president “sort of tossed off that he had access to $100 million,” according to Dodson.

Dodson then said he asked Eric Trump, who also accompanied them that day, the same question.

“I said, ‘Eric, who’s funding? I know no banks — because of the recession, the Great Recession — have touched a golf course. You know, no one’s funding any kind of golf construction. It’s dead in the water the last four or five years,’”  the writers told WBUR.

“And this is what he said. He said, ‘Well, we don’t rely on American banks. We have all the funding we need out of Russia.’ I said, ‘Really?’ And he said, ‘Oh, yeah. We’ve got some guys that really, really love golf, and they’re really invested in our programs. We just go there all the time.’”

The Trump family’s business deals with the Russian government is hard to confirm due to Trump’s refusal to make public has more recent tax returns. However, the web around the Trump keeps leading back to one source.

Then there’s the infamous 35-page dossier, also known as the “Golden Shower Report,” that among other things alleged that Russia spent years grooming Donald Trump to become President.

According to a CNN report, the dossier “contains “explosive, but unverified, allegations” that the Russian government has been “cultivating, supporting and assisting” President-elect Donald Trump for at least 5 years and “endorsed by Putin” gained compromising information about him, with the aim of “encouraging splits and divisions in the Western alliance.”

It’s clear that the Trump’s are neck deep in shady Russian ties, and Eric Trump’s “alleged” confession is just another piece to a puzzle which just so happens to form a picture of Russian President Vladimir Putin winking at us.
