Rep. Marsha Blackburn (R-Tenn.) recently sat down with CNN’s Brianna Keilar to discuss her party’s latest legislative “victory” in Congress where they finally passed a version of Trumpcare.
Keilar asked the Tennessee Rep. one simple question which seemed to send the slippery politician into “evade and deflect” mode.
“Can you assure them their premiums won’t rise as a result of this legislation?” she asked.
Blackburn summoned as much false indignation as she could muster before she replied:
“Look at the promises that were made by then-President Obama!” Blackburn deflected.
However, Keilar wasn’t letting her off the hook that easily.
“But what about your plan?” Keilar interjected. “Now it’s your plan. Now there’s a plan you have voted on.”
And so for four minutes Blackburn twisted and contorted to avoid answering for her president’s shitty healthcare bill. She regurgitated the same tired talking points that House Majority Speaker Paul Ryan had told her to say about Trumpcare.
When Keilar busted her for avoiding the question, Blackburn got testy.
“That’s because you don’t want to hear what we have to say about it!” she snapped.
That’s right you spineless neocon puppet; we don’t want to hear what Republicans have to “say” about Trump’s shitty health care bill because it speaks for itself.
