Trump’s Age And Behavior Make Alzheimer’s Disease A Possibility – Here’s Why

President Donald Trump is 70-years-old and his behavior lately has been erratic. This is very troubling, and Trump could possibly be suffering from Alzheimer’s disease.

Symptoms include forgetfulness and trouble finding the words you are looking for. He often speaks in over-simplified ways. According to NeuroCritic, Alzheimer’s affects speech in four ways:

  • Semantic impairmentusing overly simple words
  • Acoustic impairment e.g., speaking more slowly
  • Syntactic impairment  using less complex grammar
  • Information impairment not clearly identifying the main aspects of a picture they were told to describe

Listen to him speak, and you can see some of these signs.

Trump’s late-night tweeting sprees also show some signs of dementia. According to the Mayo Clinic, one of the signs is:

“… Irritability, personality changes, restlessness, lack of restraint…”

Here are just some of Trump’s nutty late-night tweets:

He also once flubbed and said 7/11 when meaning to refer to 9/11. Memory loss and word confusion are signs.

Trump’s father, Fred, developed the disease in his 80s. Many people have called on all older presidents to be tested for the disease now that people are living longer. Trump is the oldest person to take office as the American president.

He really needs to be tested at least. Maybe we should start having yearly physicals for the president and vice president.
