A Girl Scouts’ booth at a Walmart in South Carolina was robbed. The mother was beaten, and the thief stole the cookies and the money box.
Anderson County police say that the incident happened around 2:15 p.m. on Sunday. The woman responsible went to the vending machine behind the cookie booth, then she asked the sellers for a new $1 bill. The two exchanged money,
The woman went back to her vehicle a few times before asking for a box. She paid $4 for a box of cookies, then she grabbed the box with the money in it. The seller tried to take it back and was kicked a few times.
This is not the first time this has happened recently. A mother and daughter in San Francisco were robbed while selling cookies outside of a Safeway store. He came up to the booth once and seemed like an interested customer, but then he left and came back with a handgun. He asked for money and left.
In Oklahoma, a man was arrested for trying to trade Girl Scout cookies for vodka. He didn’t have any bottles of alcohol on him, but he smelled of it when he was arrested.
