Mike Pence Used AOL Account For Government Business – And It Got Hacked

During literally the entire election year, the Republicans were whining about Hillary Clinton’s private emails.

Welp, guess what? Mike Pence used a personal AOL email account while he was governor of Indiana. It also got hacked. Several of the emails from that account got leaked online.

He said this about the comparisons between the two situations:

“There’s no comparison whatsoever between Hillary Clinton’s practice — having a private server, misusing classified information, destroying emails when they were requested by the Congress. We have fully complied with Indiana’s laws. We had outside counsel review all of my previous email records to identify any that ever mentioned or referenced state business.”

What did the dumbass do about it? He apologized, and then set up another AOL account! This dude doesn’t learn his lesson.

A spokesman for him said this about the situation in a statement:

“Similar to previous governors, during his time as Governor of Indiana, Mike Pence maintained a state email account and a personal email account. As then-Governor Pence concluded his time in office, he directed outside counsel to review all of his communications to ensure that state-related emails are being transferred and properly archived by the state, in accordance with the law, which outside counsel has done and is continuing to do. Government emails involving his state and personal accounts are being archived by the state and are being managed according to Indiana’s Access to Public Records Act.”
