Did A Reporter Just Discover FBI Director James Comey’s Secret Twitter Account?

If you look long enough, you can find just about anything. That’s even more true in the age of the internet, where the world is just a click or Google search away.

But what if you were trying to find the secret Twitter account of a very famous (and secretive) person?

Well, try asking that of Gizmodo reporter Ashley Feinberg, who on Thursday managed to figure out what she says is the Twitter account of FBI Director James Comey, who has admitted he does indeed have a top-secret account on the social media platform.

Feinberg began by locating Comey’s son, Brein Comey, on Instagram. Then she was able to figure out the FBI director’s pseudonym, Reinhold Niebuhr, based off the American theologian that Comey wrote his senior thesis on. Take a look at what other reporters are saying about what Feinberg has now put forth as a very credible theory:

There’s no confirmation from Comey as to whether or not this is actually his Twitter account, and it’s doubtful he will either confirm or deny it. But should this account suddenly go quiet or disappear, we’ll all know that Ashley Feinberg has indeed given us the scoop of the year.

Oh, and you might wanna go on Twitter and follow Reinhold Niebuhr just for shits and giggles.
