This week, the founder and CEO of MyPillow, Mike Lindell, lost accreditation from the Better Business Bureau (BBB) for false advertising. Lindell had campaigned for Donald Trump during the election season.
BBB of Minnesota and North Dakota CEO Dana Badgerow said:
“Among other issues, BBB has attempted to persuade MyPillow to discontinue their ‘buy one get one free’ (BOGO)/other discount offers without success. Continuous BOGO offers, which can then be construed as an item’s regular, everyday price, violate not only BBB’s Code of Advertising – which all BBB Accredited Businesses agree to abide by – but also other state and national organizations’ rules.”
Lindell invented the “MyPillow” that claims to never get flat. The BBB had a problem with the site’s buy one get one free offer, which was really the regular price. The store also showed pictures of “premium” pillows when they were really getting the standard.
In November, the company had to pay out $1 million in a lawsuit because they claimed that the pillow could treat conditions such as sleep apnea and fibromyalgia.
Lindell attended the last presidential debate and said that he supported Donald Trump. Many people are boycotting the company because of it.

This isn’t surprising. Trump lies, so I’m sure his big supporters do, too.
