No, Fox, The Post-Election Hate Crimes Are NOT Fake

Many conservatives (including my own family) do not believe that there are hate crimes happening in the wake of the election results. President-elect Donald Trump stirred up a lot of hate during his campaign. Now, his supporters are harassing people since their President-elect does it. Fox News called it a “fake hate crime frenzy.” Conservative news outlet Breitbart also called them fake.

Here is a YouTuber talking about some of the incidents:

Since Donald Trump was elected, there are incidents everywhere.

School children are yelling “Build that wall” at Latino students.

Gay pride flags are being burned.

Many people are hanging black effigies.

Muslims are being attacked and told they would be deported.

Little girls are having little boys grab their private parts and say “if the president does it…”

There have been hundreds of these incidents since the election.

Richard Cohen, president of the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC), said:

“This represents a big increase in what we’ve seen since the campaign, and these incidents are far and wide: we’re seeing them in schools, we’re seeing them in places of business, we’re seeing them in museums and gas stations. White supremacists are celebrating, and it’s their time, the way they see it.”

Yes, Republicans, this is happening.
